Prayers
ANGELSPEAKE

"I am divinely protected, guided, and prospered, and my way is made
smooth to enlightenment." Yesterday a woman told us this prayer that
we have long admired is a Buddhist affirmation.
That reminded us of other prayers that we mention in our book “The
Angelspeake Book of Prayer and Healing.” All religions have a way of
talking to God that is good. Today the angels asked us to share
those prayers with you.
Buddhist Prayer to the Triple Gem
I seek refuge in the Buddha.
I seek refuge in the Scriptures.
I seek refuge in the Monastic Community.
Muslim Call to Prayer
I stand in witness to the fact that there is no God except one.
I stand in witness to the fact that Muhammad (peace on him) is
Allah’s messenger.
Hindu
Oh Divine Beings of all three worlds, We meditate upon the glorious
splendor of the Vivifier Divine. May He Himself illumine our minds.
Jewish (for Healing of Body and Spirit)
May the one who blessed our fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and
our mothers, Sarah, Rebekah, Leah, and Rachel, send healing to those
in our midst who are ill. May the Holy One have mercy upon them. May
they soon know a healing of body, mind, and spirit along with all
who are ill. And let us all say, Amen
Christian
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Remember this one?
Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
Here is one you might like better to teach your children.
An Angel Prayer
Angels sent by God to guide me.
Be my light and walk beside me.
Be my guardian and protect me.
On the paths of life direct me.
Here is a prayer we use a lot:
Dear God, Please bring the right people, circumstances, and
Events into my life today that I may better do thy will.
Twelve Step Prayer
God, Grant me the Serenity
To Accept the things I cannot change,
The Courage to change the things I can,
And the Wisdom to know the difference.
The Angels Speak:
It does not matter what you pray, it matters only that you tell God
what you are thinking about. Tell Him about your worries and joys,
fears and pleasures. Thank Him for what you have noticed that He has
sent to you. Ask Him for help with anything you want to do, to be,
or to have. There are no proper words or attitudes. Just fill your
heart with the desire to communicate what is in it. As you would
mail a letter, send your prayer to God and forget it. He will act
upon what has been said. Every prayer is good.
Faith Builder:
Today, use other prayers than the ones you are accustomed to
praying. Then feel the faith behind the words in your heart.
