Gratitude
ANGELSPEAKE
By Barbara Mark & Trudy Griswold
The angels told us, “Blessed are the grateful, for they have
found the source of all good things.”
The Four Fundamentals is the method we were taught by our angels for
accessing divine help for anything we need or want assistance with.
Ask, Believe, Let Go, Say Thank You, are never-ending sources of
discussion. They seem so simple, and yet when explored, are found to
contain great depth. The more you study them, the more you find
infinite wisdom within each. The last one, Say Thank You, is thought
to be simple and easy compared to the profundity of the other three.
Until you ask the angels…
The Angels Speak:
Many think that saying thank-you is an ending. It is often thought
that grateful appreciation is the final act of acknowledgement for a
gift or a good job. But gratitude is much more than that. Gratitude
is the positive force that will continue the cycle of God’s gift to
you, whatever it may be.
Just as the sun shines daily, gratitude will bring gifts. More
and more gifts than you could think possible. When one is full of
gratitude, one opens oneself to the blessings of the universe. It is
crucial to remember to say Thank You. Thank for everything--even
trials and tribulations. Gratitude keeps the blessings flowing. It
is the energy that sustains blessings.
Start your day with a thank-you as you say your Morning Prayer.
Tell God you are grateful for breath, for sight, for opportunity,
for choice, for love, for being.
Gratitude neutralizes the negative in life and supercharges the
positive. Be grateful for every day and everything within the day.
Being grateful at the beginning of the day will set the tone of your
existence for the next 24 hours.
As you ask for divine help throughout the day, thank God for any
help you need, even before you need it. Say, “Thank you, God, for
all you have given me and helped me with in the past. I ask you now
for help in….” and then fill in with what you may desire assistance
at the moment. Be specific and ask for anything you may need or
desire. Then, thank Him for what you have asked for regardless of
the outcome.
In the evening, be aware of what has come to you during the day.
List what has been given you. Notice the expected generosity and the
unexpected windfall. Notice, notice, notice! Do not blind your eyes
to what is going on around you. The world is full of what God has
given you to help you survive your life. Notice the gifts He has
bestowed. They are everywhere.
Whenever you notice God’s goodness in any way, thank Him again.
It is all He requires of you. God gives infinitely, generously,
permanently, and unconditionally. Contrary to belief, He does not
give with one hand and take with the other. Contrary to belief, God
does not put conditions on what He gives. He expects nothing in
return… except Thank You. That is all.
Faith Builder:
Scan the room where you are right now and say thank you for every
thing your eyes see. Then say thank you for what you don’t see.
