Loving God

The angels taught us to love God. We admit we don’t understand
what He is, or how He works. All we know is that, today, we love
Him.
The Angels Speak:
Every being perceives God differently. He (or She—for either is
correct) is an essence more than a being. God is an is-ness, totally
unexplainable and different from any other is-ness. God is. That is
all you need to know. When you know that, you will find it easier to
love the is-ness called God.
Smell a flower. How do you know the essence called “gardenia” is
perceived by your friend the same as it is by you? Put your hand in
water. How do you know that what you feel is the same as how another
feels? See “purple.” Is your concept of this color the same as your
brother’s? Does chocolate taste the same to everybody? You do not
know, for you have no way to compare. You have learned to accept
your personal encounter as “truth” and you do not question that your
perception may be totally unique.
It is easier to love God if you stop trying to analyze His is-ness.
God is different to everyone but is the essence of all. God
permeates every aspect of every thing.
He is the scent of a flower—whatever you perceive it to be.
He is the taste of a food—whatever your opinion of that is.
He is the sound of a note—however your ear discerns it.
He is the colors in a rainbow—however your eye sees the hues.
He is the sense of a touch—soothing or harsh.
God is sunlight that is able to enter the darkest place.
God is sound that can penetrate the densest molecule.
God is the jelly in which the atoms move.
God is nothingness.
God is fullness.
God is deep.
God is full.
God is energy.
God is stillness.
God is.
What ever you feel when you feel the presence of all that is right
and good…that is God.
Now, isn’t that better than thinking that God is going to punish you
if you do something wrong? To be truthful, God doesn’t penalize
anybody because He respects your beingness, too. He knows that
whatever you are and whatever you are doing today is the best you
can be and do.
God sees that you, too, can enter the darkest place and bring in
light.
He sees you daring to walk through fear.
He is aware of the depth of your struggles.
He softens your pain.
He supports your dreams.
He is the space between the atoms and molecules which make up “you.”
He accepts your uniqueness.
Whatever you are, God is the is-ness of you.
You will not learn to love God in a day, or even a lifetime. But you
can learn to trust that His is-ness supports your is-ness. When you
accept that, then you love God. It is enough to know.
