Ask For a
Miracle

We used to think God doled out miracles for special
occasions—usually desperate ones. We thought that if the situation
was dire enough then God would send out an angel to save the day. It
was sort of a “Mighty Mouse” theory of angels.
As we began to be taught by the angels themselves, we learned that
miracles were really not so special at all. People receive miracles
all the time. It is only when the miracle is accompanied with a
dramatic event do we begin to think it was a miracle in the first
place. But we still thought a miracle was spontaneous and engineered
at the whim of God when all human exertion had failed.
Imagine our surprise when our angels told us that we could ask for a
miracle and expect it to happen. We had no idea that we were in
charge of our own miracles! How could this be?
Q: How do miracles happen?
The Angels Speak: Miracles happen because you label them as
such. If you have no intellectual reason for an occurrence, you
think an act of God occurred. God is in the process, yes, but the
true miracles come from within the person requesting them.
Q: How do you request a miracle?
The Angels Speak: The same way you access God for help with
any request. You Ask for it. You Believe it will be given to you.
You Allow the miracle to occur. And you Thank God for whatever
happened. Yes, the Four Fundamentals that you teach about. Ask,
Believe, Let Go, and Say Thank You for any divine assistance. It is
the same for big requests or little ones. Remember this, too, that
the answer or result may be different than what you expect, but the
request will always be honored with a response. God always answers
prayers.
Q: I don’t think there have been any miracles in my life. I
can’t think of one.
The Angels Speak: There have been many. Some of our greatest
work has been to distract you from a planned movement for a second
or two so you would not hit the pedestrian, would avoid the
accident, or notice the impending calamity. What never happened is
just as big a miracle as saving you from what did.
Q: My cousin says she had a miraculous healing from a
terrible disease.
The Angels Speak: She did. She asked for God to remove the
sickness from her, but even more important, she allowed Him to take
it. This, however, was not a miracle in God’s eyes. He merely
answered her prayer.
Q: What about accidents where people say they saw their angel
and were saved?
The Angels Speak: And so they were. One of our most important
jobs is to protect you. If you are in danger and need help we are
there or we send someone who can help you.
Ask for a miracle when you feel you need one. Do not try to
figure out how it will be sent. God decides that and sends us to
carry it out. Just believe that you are worthy of it.
