When you ask your angels to help you with anything you want to be,
to do, or to have, remember they cannot bring you anything that is
not for your greater good. The angels will not lead you into fear or
stress or worry, so even if you did ask or pray for help with
something that was foolish in the long run, your angels would be
discerning enough not to bring it to you. They will align your
request with God’s plan and the universal flow of abundance.
One time we asked for cars that were much more expensive than our
budgets would allow. We were quite excited when we first learned
that the angels could help us obtain material possessions, and at
the time, both us of needed cars very badly. Like most people, we
didn’t understand that the laws of manifestation had a built in
protection system. We just expected our requests to be answered.
After a period of time, and our cars did not appear, we asked our
angels:
Q: Angels how come we didn’t get the cars we asked for?
The Angels Speak: Because, dear ladies, you did not want what
went with the cars you requested. You could have had the vehicles,
but you would also have had large payments, expensive maintenance,
and high insurance premiums. When you asked for your selection, you
did not think the request through to the end. We did. We will not
bring you negative gifts--ever. Now, what kind of car do you really
want?
Our Comment: Now we both drive cars that are within our
budgets. Our cars are in excellent condition, were great values,
with reasonable insurance and fees and cause us no worry. We really
like our cars and everything about them, because they were brought
to us easily with our greater good in mind. We have found that when
we are working with our angels in our requests, everything goes
smoothly and quickly and we usually receive even better than we
asked for. We have learned that our angels are always on our side.
Q: I have a terrible time asking for things. I was taught to
ask for others, but not for myself. Asking seems selfish to me.
The Angels Speak: Human parents often are afraid their
children will not learn values they think are important, so they
teach their children to be frugal and to think of others first. This
is admirable. But there is nothing wrong in a person asking us for
help in receiving. If the saying, “It is more blessed to give than
to receive,” works for people, it also works for angels. Let us love
you and show that love by helping you receive from us and God. Part
of our work is to help your life be easier and more abundant. After
you have asked us for something you desire, a good prayer would be,
“Dear angels, please help me learn to receive as well as I have
learned to give.”
