This week’s Monday Morning Message about loving one another applies
to Katrina absolutely. It's something I struggle with, and was meant
for me. But is there any comfort or messages about the situation in
New Orleans and other areas that you or the angels can give? Are
there explanations or lessons for us?

Hi Trudy & Barbara,
All the news about the Hurricane in the southern states is so
depressing. Could you ask your Angels for all of us who are sad what
God thinks about all of this and is it all going to come out? What
is our lesson in all of this?

Dear Angels, Could you please answer Isis’ and Helen’s questions
about Hurricane Katrina?
Dearest ladies, there are beautiful hearts in your breasts, and
because you have compassion for others, you are more acutely touched
than some others. It is always so.
When disasters fall upon your planet, it is very important to look
at the big picture rather than the immediate horrors you see on
television and in your papers. Here are some things to think about.

News reports give a Call to Action. They Ask for help.
It may seem to focus on the pain and suffering, but the
reports are also going around the world telling others what
is needed. Think of all the people you saw on television
asking for food, water, and assistance. Remember how their
appeals moved you. |

That cry for help motivates those untouched by the
horror, to come forward and aid their fellow man. They may
not know what they can do specifically, but in the beginning
they know they have to do something. Everyone has a need to
give what they can. This is the time of Belief that a person
can be of service. |

Then comes the time of rebuilding, renewal, and revival.
This is the longest period and is the hardest to see in the
big picture because it comes one human to another in little
ways. A drink of water, a hug, a hand reaching out to pull
one up to dry land. This is the Happening time and it will
go out of the press very quickly. The disaster is over and
regeneration begins. |

Gratitude is the final step in Rebuilding. As the
destruction is replaced by construction the previous despair
is overlaid with pride and thankfulness. Hearts begin to
fill with purpose, and the cycle is complete. |
It is always so. Tragedy occurs. Then people first, rebuilding
second, happiness third. Why does it happen this way? Because you
are good. You love each other. You care. That is why. It is the
crowning glory of the human being to reach out and help the less
fortunate. That is why God has given you so much faith. So you can
use it to help the helpless.
You have all been asked to do a great deal this year. You have
proven yourself worthy. You are our beloved beings, and we
will help you in all you do in these difficult times.
God thinks you are wonderful!

Dear Barbara and Trudy:
How can I be the best person that God wants me to be while I am
alive? I have a problem where I am easily distracted and have
trouble meditating and also I have trouble remembering things.
At times I really feel my angels, but when I get quiet and my mind
becomes scattered I have trouble hearing what they are telling me.
I am so amazed at your talents and others who freely hear from their
angels. I pray and would feel so honored if I was picked to have an
angel experience. How could you help me???

I have read all your books and have enjoyed them immensely. I have
tried many times to contact the angels because I KNOW they are
around me, but I find I have a hard time opening myself for their
messages. Any suggestions?

Dear Mary and Patti,
When you are with your angels, it is fine to just “be.” Just allow
them to come to you and align their energy with yours. It isn’t
necessary to get any message at all. They are still there.

I would like to share a lovely experience which has reminded me just
how magical the power of love can be. My young daughter and I were
to take a few days holiday out of town recently during school
vacation time so we reluctantly took our much loved tortoiseshell
cat Tilly to a cat motel the night before we were to go away. Those
of us who deeply love our pets will know just how difficult it is to
be apart from them - even if only for a few days!
When we returned to our house from taking Tilly to the cattery, it
was evening and my daughter and I were feeling very empty without
her around us. We began to watch television and I went into the
kitchen for a glass of water, thinking that Tilly would be asleep
and wondering how she was feeling. Suddenly a movement caught my eye
and I turned around to see a clear "image" of Tilly slowly walking
into the kitchen with the same movement she normally makes - slow
and waddling (she is an oversized girl!).
As quickly as the vision appeared, it was gone. But I felt so much
love in that brief moment that it was overwhelming. I immediately
knew that Tilly was alright. For me these joyful experiences cannot
be explained, but I do know that love brings all kinds of miracles.

Dear Mr. Armstrong,
Your beloved New Orleans has been nearly destroyed by a hurricane.
What do you know about that, and what do you have to teach us about
it?
Well, the first thing I want to say is that it was only the
BUILDINGS that were destroyed. You can’t destroy the spirit of
people, and you can’t destroy the heart of a city. New Orleans is a
Spirit with a Heart. Where do you think music goes after it is
played? Did you know that sound is a thing? It has a dimension all
its own and just because your ears don’t hear it doesn’t mean it
still isn’t going around where you can’t see and is still pleasing
people.
I invite you to go to a real quiet place and just sit and listen.
Real still, like you’re waiting for something. Close your eyes if
you want to, but if you have a real heart that loves music, you will
hear it even though you can’t find where it’s coming from. New
Orleans has more remaining music in the streets than probably any
other city on earth. It was non-stop there, and it still is, even
though you think it is silent.
You watch New Orleans come back. It may look different, but it will
have the same spirit. The music will play again. Those of us over
here who loved it will make sure it does.
